Increasing efficiency and reducing wastage benefits you and the country.

In the face of rising cost of living we all expect to pay minimal amounts for electricity. However it is we who can save additional expenditure by using electricity sparingly, thus saving not only our own money but also the additional expenditure incurred by the government, said Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka addressing a group of employees of the Colombo National Hospital on energy saving.

This awareness program was organised by the Renewable Energy Authority on the instructions of the Minister of Power and Energy with the aim of educating people on the benefits derived by the careful use of electricity. This series of workshops targeting both Government and Private sector employees was initially held at the World Trade Centre, Sri Lankan Catering Blood Bank Sampath Bank Bank of Ceylon and Homagama hospital staff.
