Grama Shakthi to light up villages.

Grama Shakthi, a Programme by Ministry of Power and Eenrgy aimed at providing off-grid electricity to villages which are yet to get power, got off the ground from Ratnapura on Sunday (October 24) with Power and Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka launching the programme at Samudi Hall, Ratnapura.

A concept of Minister Ranawaka, Grama Shakthi is scheduled to expedite the ministry’s goal to have 100% electrification in the country by 2012.
