Connecting the 34 Km medium voltage transmission network from Granty sub station in Thalabowatte, Passara to the Buttala granty sub station took place concurrent to the Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka’s Uva inspection tour. This project commenced parallel to the Dayata Kirula Exhibition held in the Buttala area in 2011. This project at a cost of Rs. 166.5 million was inaugurated as a solution to the low voltage issues faced by around 25% of the people in the area, will no doubt be an asset to the Uva province said the Minister of Power and Energy.
