The Ministry of Power and Energy stated that a mobile service organized by the Kalutara Electrical Engineers Office with the aim of solving problems of consumers will be held at the Mathugama Provincial council Auditorium on the 29th of Jan 2011 from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm chaired by the Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka.
At this mobile service issues pertaining to bills, electricity meter faults, and power interruptions faced by consumers will be addressed and those anticipating electricity connections could also obtain their connections on this day. The Power and Energy Ministry further stated that under Minister Ranawaka’s concept “ Viduli Athwela” concurrent to this mobile service applicants will receive their connections from the minister.
This Mobile service will include a program to educate the people about energy conservation methods by the Sustainable Energy Authority. During this program Heyleys and Orange companies will supply Energy Saving CFL bulbs to consumers at concessionary rates.
The Ministry of Power and Energy sincerely urges all consumers to attend this mobile service and obtain solutions to all their electricity related issues. Premalal Jayasekera, Kumara Welgama, Mahinda Samarasinghe, Rohitha Abeygunawardane, Rajitha Senaratne, Nirmala Kothalawala and several other Ministers and MP’s will participate in this Mobile Service.
