Measures have been taken by the Ministry of Power and Energy, Ceylon Electricity Board, and the Lanka Electric Co. To implement a 24 hour service to solve all consumer complaints with regard to electricity related issues under the directions of the Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka.

Accordingly consumers can contact the Ministry of Power and Energy on the hotline 1901, The Ceylon Electricity Board on 1987, and Lanka Electric Co. On 1910 for instant assistance to their power related issues. Furthermore the subject minister has also requested the consumers to forward their complaints through email to elecomplaints@sltnet.lk or P.O Box 576, Colombo for instant assistance. Therefore the minister pointed out that consumers can obtain the assistance with regard to all their electricity related matters through these means.
